I do not like to write bad reviews; however, I wished I was warned. I drove over an hour to the Cox Science Center with my two young kids. We paid the steep $65 entry fee in hopes of a day of educati… Full review by Leah C

This was a super disappointing “aquarium”. We visited from out of town looking for something different to do. We would not recommend for the cost. The aquarium is one room. You can visit Manatee Lago… Full review by Elizabeth M

Hello! I will be in WPB this summer and am interested in visiting. This will be a four-generation visit: my mother (93), myself (56), my daughter (26) and my grandson (2). I have several questions: Will the Children's activity area be open? Is this museum reasonably accessible for someone who can walk short distances but will otherwise be in a wheelchair (my mother)? I am retired from the US Navy; is there a military discount on admission price? Thanks.

I would contact the museum right before you go. I went in Dec and wrote a really negative review they were in the middle of construction and really there was nothing open to look at and I dont know why the front desk didnt say that. I had a reciprocal science pass so it didnt cost me to go in but I still wouldnt have wasted my time going and I also went with a 3 yr old. The little we went through you can with a wheel chair but if the new part is open I didnt see it and the construction also stopped us from accessing the outside so i cant comment on how the outside is set up. The zoo is right around the corner and I also reviewed that. It was better by far than the museum but I have been to better ones and I also only paid half price with my pass. It basically is set up like a spoke with different paths coming off the center. I was using the map and even then still found it a little confusing when trying to locate a specific show or animal. If I remember correctly some of the paths were on wooden walkways so not sure how easy to move a wheelchair around. There is plenty of foliage and sitting areas so thats a plus since u are going in summer and would need to go when it opened. If they have military discount I am sure it would be listed next to the general price of admission on their website at both places. Actually I just checked both. They only give u 20% off at science museum but at the zoo with proper ID military would get in free and up to 3 family members half off and the 2 yr old is free at both places. Personally I have been to both and I would take the zoo plus u would get a great discount. Good Luck
