We are visiting Iceland this week (in mid-July). We plan on doing lots of hikes and exploring such as here. What would you suggest we wear/pack this time of year? Heavy coat or windbreaker?Do we need thermals under pants/longsleeves? etc.... Thank you so much for any suggestions!!

Don't miss the leirhnjukur lava field hike, it's amazing. It's near a mostly unmarked parking area across the road from viti crater.
