Some beautiful and intriguing modern art displays, though I was expecting more classical art. I can't really understand or appreciate much of modern art! Full review by EileenMtShasta

What an excellent gallery. Really enjoyed the range of pieces on show. Well worth the time and money. We were glad to make time to fit this in despite so many competing sights to see. Full review by karenjG2649DT

Who knew Rembrandt had something in common with Cher or Prince? That's right; his name is so long and complicated it devolved into just: Rembrandt. Rembrandt made his living at first as a creator of… Full review by Richard F W

I know the area very well. There is a large parking lot adjacent to the Museum, on its East side. It is not free, but rates are reasonable. There is also plenty of metered parking along the street, just West of the Museum. In front of the Museum main entrance, there is a large turn about where a drop in could easily be done. As others have noted,it's a beautiful walk from the Old Town to the Museum, along Grande Allée, passing in front of the Quebec Parliament. Its a very, very gentle slope. From Chateau Frotenac, I would figure at least an hour because you will want to stop along the way.
Are you still open this time of year, we are planning a trip from Oct 9th to Oct 12th we are a retired couple but we do have a medium size dog who is well trained. We are wondering if you accept pets and if still open please advise us of price. Many thanks Margaret King

The MNBAQ is open everyday (except 2 days in December. Most museums (esp. the prestigious ones - state or provincial museums, for example) do not allow dogs for many reasons - some people are allergic, possibility of mess and fleas, possibility of damage to art and artifacts. For the latter reason, even backpacks are not allowed. Senior's admission fee is $16. For more info on hours, rates, (and guidelines), google the Museum name to get to their website.
