A Thai soldier was injured by a landmine near the Cambodian border on Tuesday, the Thai army said, days after the Southeast Asian neighbours agreed to a ceasefire following last month's deadly five-day conflict.

Thailand has accused Cambodia of planting mines on its side of the border, which stretches 817km (508 miles), with ownership of the Ta Moan Thom and 11th-century Preah Vihear temples at the heart of the dispute.

Saturday’s incident is the third time in a few weeks that Thai soldiers have been injured by mines while patrolling along the border.
