Controversial beauty queen Chidimma Adetshina has triumphs as Miss Universe first runner-up walking away with a substantial prize package.

Adetshina expressed gratitude to Nigeria after withdrawing from the 2024 Miss South Africa pageant due to allegations of identity fraud involving her parents.

Following a year of controversy in South Africa, Chidimma Adetshina, representing Nigeria, has been crowned Miss Universe runner up.

Chidimma Adetshina was crowned miss Universe Africa and Oceania on Saturday (Nov. 16) in Mexico. Adetshina who is law student and model born and raised in South Africa represented her father's country Nigeria in this year's beauty pageant.

Chidimma Adetshina was crowned the first runner-up at Miss Universe. Nigeria was also the only African country in the Miss Universe Top 5, and Nigerians were proud.
