A man was arrested for reckless driving and is accused of intentionally driving into a group of people leaving a protest today, Culpeper police said. A group named Culpeper Democrats on Facebook said it happened at their No Kings rally on James Madison Highway,
Motorists in two cities across the nation have struck “No Kings” protesters, according to multiple reports. Police detained two motorists whom they say intentionally drove into crowds of protesters in San Francisco, California and Culpeper, Virginia. There is no reason to believe the two incidents are connected.
The"No Kings" protests are planned to oppose what they see as Trump's power grab. The number of planned events is nearly double that of the April 5 "Hands Off" protest that saw millions of Americans turn out in big and small cities nationwide.
