Air India has removed data silos, enhancing its competitive advantage and preparing for an AI-driven future as it merges with Vistara.

Air India has created a comprehensive data infrastructure free of silos, offering a competitive edge, according to Chief Digital & Technology Officer Satya Ramaswamy. Acquired by Tata Group in 2022, the airline is set to merge AIX Connect and Vistara with significant AI integration and enhanced digital capabilities.

Air India, under Tata ownership, is undergoing a digital transformation, removing data silos and embracing AI. The airline aims to be a data-driven company with AI-infused operations.

A comprehensive enterprise assessment of all systems has been completed and the integration process is going on as part of the upcoming merger of Vistara with Air India, a senior official said on Monday.
