CHICAGO (AP) — The Chicago Cubs added infielder Nicky Lopez and reliever Drew Pomeranz as part of a flurry of moves before Wednesday night’s game against the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Nicky Lopez was at home in Arizona with his wife on Tuesday night, watching the Cubs’ wild comeback win over the Dodgers. One day later, he was wearing a Cubs uniform and standing in front of his new locker inside Wrigley Field.

Workman likely goes back to the Tigers, where the Cubs got him in a Rule 5 selection last winter. It remains to be seen if the Cubs can make a deal to keep Workman in their system
