A flash food warning has been issued for areas of Middlesex and Somerset counties in New Jersey on Wednesday as strong storms lash the state. The warning is in effect from 6:45 p.m. until 10:45 p.m. for the following counties: Middlesex and Somerset.
Parts of New York City and Northern New Jersey were inundated on Monday night as widespread thunderstorms moved through.
Storms prompted flash flood warnings across the New York City metropolitan area Monday night, with photos showing severe flooding across the city and in parts of New York state and New Jersey.
The National Weather Service issued a flood warning at 9:07 p.m. on Monday in effect until Tuesday at 12:15 a.m. for Bergen County.
