All of Henrico County is now under a water boil advisory amid an ongoing water crisis in and around Richmond, Virginia.

Henrico County issued a boil water advisory Wednesday afternoon, on the third day of a regional water emergency triggered by a power outage at Richmond’s water treatment plant on Monday, Jan. 6 caused by a winter storm.

The City of Richmond and surrounding Henrico County are under a water boil advisory after a snow-related power outage impacted Richmond’s main water plant along the James River.

CBS 6 began receiving reports of outages and low water pressure in Henrico's East End and at Richmond International Airport Tuesday morning.

Henrico is under a state of emergency as the eastern portion of the county is experiencing low or no water pressure, county manager John Vithoulkas said at a press conference Tuesday afternoon.
