Jordan’s King Abdullah II said he reiterated Tuesday during a meeting with President Donald Trump his country and the region's "steadfast opposition" to the president's plan to resettle millions of Palestinians out of Gaza.

Like most of President Donald Trump’s meetings these days, Tuesday’s talks with Jordan’s King Abdullah II will revolve around making a deal — at least in the president’s mind.

As Trump has pushed a US takeover of war-battered Gaza and demanded that Jordan and Egypt take in its residents, Abdullah’s options have looked increasingly impossible.
