A powerful earthquake occurred in the Aegean Sea near some Greek islands yesterday, with authorities issuing a tsunami alert after the tremors shook buildings and hotels

An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.1 on the Richter scale was registered today around two hours in the sea area 20 kilometers south-southwest of the island of Kasos, east of Crete, the Geodynamic Institute of the National Observatory of Athens announced.
