Chicago Cubs starter Shota Imanaga was placed on the 15-day injured list on Monday due to a left hamstring strain. He suffered the injury during Chicago's 4-0 loss to the Milwaukee Brewers on Sunday. In the bottom of the sixth inning, Imanaga grabbed his hamstring after running towards first base in an attempt to turn a double play.

Imanaga’s injury follows a start Tuesday in Pittsburgh in which he left in the sixth inning with leg cramps in both legs. He said he felt good Sunday before the injury, and “there was no sign in the back of my leg” before the start.
