Saturday morning begins overcast and dry with seasonably cold conditions across the region. High pressure is in place to our northeast and is slowly retreating to the east ahead of an approaching area of low pressure from the southwest that will bring widespread precipitation to all of Western Pennsylvania beginning this afternoon and lasting until after midnight.

Meteorologist Dalencia Jenkins says it will be partly cloudy for the rest of Friday but there is an Impact Weather day for Saturday with snow and ice expected. There is a Winter Weather Advisory in place staring Saturday morning and lasting throughout the day and into the evening.

The good news is, today will be calm and quiet. The bad news is, another round of wintry mix arrives by Saturday evening into early Sunday morning.
