The French territory of Mayotte is on red alert again with another cyclone heading toward the islands off Africa that were devastated by their worst storm in nearly a century last month

Authorities will put the French overseas territory of Mayotte on red alert late on Saturday, Prefect Francois-Xavier Bieuville said, as a tropical storm nears the Indian Ocean archipelago that was devastated by a cyclone last month.

The storm brought violent winds, flash floods, and landslides on Sunday morning, prompting authorities to issue a red alert.
