It was nearly one year ago that Nvidia ( NVDA 0.12%) last split its stock. That 10-for-1 stock split was the sixth in the company's history since entering the public markets in 1999. Shares proceeded to march to an all-time closing high about six months after last June's stock split.

Nvidia was once worth over $3 trillion and was the most valuable stock on the market, but has lost over a half trillion dollars worth of value since the start of the year. NVDA stock is down 20% in 2025 and currently trades below $109 per share.
