James Gunn Just Teased Official Supergirl Movie

Hot off the heels of the blockbuster success of Superman, DC Studios is ready to introduce us to another child of Krypton already. After tiny teases throughout its production, we have our first proper look at Milly Alcock’s Supergirl.
The poster features Milly Alcock, Woman of Tomorrow, with the getup of Supergirl and wearing a overcoat over her dress. She can be see drinking a Slurpee, standing next to a Superman poster. The caption in the post read: "Look Out. 2026."
The Supergirl film, titled Woman of Tomorrow, also stars Matthias Schoenaerts, Eve Ridley, David Krumholtz, and Emily Beecham. Fans reacted excitedly to the poster. One commented, “I loved her cameo at the end.
First shared by co-department head of hair Lindsay McAllister on Instagram and now available all over the internet, the behind-the-scenes image shows Alcock getting ready to film her first-ever scene as Kara Zor-El. The original post was deleted, but luckily for us Discussing Film reposted it for everyone to see (you can check out the image below).
Released yesterday (July 16) by DC Studios co-chief James Gunn, it shows the eponymous hero sipping on a Slurpie as she poses next to the immediately recognizable 'S' symbol that adorns her and fellow Kryptonian Superman 's outfits.
Superman gave Clark Kent back his heart, but did James Gunn give our staffers back their hope for his comic world?
Alcock shared the meme just moments after DC boss James Gunn posted the first Supergirl poster. The new look shows the hero standing in front of a Superman mural, which she has vandalized, whilst she drinks an unknown beverage from a paper cup. Both the meme and the poster sure do fit with Supergirl’s wild reputation as introduced in Superman.
