Iga Swiatek bulldozed her way to a maiden Wimbledon title on Saturday to take her Grand Slam tally to six and although the Pole preferred not to rank her wins, she said her latest one felt a little more special than the others.

Soon after the historic win, tennis legend Rafael Nadal shared a short but meaningful message to Swiatek on X (formerly Twitter): “Congratulations @iga_swiatek! Amazing tournament! 🌱💪🏼” The five-word message “Amazing tournament” included was simple and respectful.

Iga Swiatek is the new Wimbledon champion, after overpowering Amanda Anisimova with a stunning 6-0, 6-0 victory. The 24-year-old secures her 6th Grand Slam title and completes the "Surface Slam" – winning at least one major on each surface.
