Bangladesh will be facing India in a three-match T20I series following the second Test in Kanpur. The Bangladesh Cricket Board has named the squad for the upcoming 20-over series. They have called in a star all-rounder following Shakib's decision to retire from Tests and T20Is.

The BCCI announced India's highly-anticipated squad for the T20I series against Bangladesh on Sunday with Varun Chakravarthy returning to international cricket after a long period of time.

Mehidy Hasan, the Bangladeshi all-rounder, is back in the national T20I squad after a 14-month break. He's part of the 15-member team picked by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) for the upcoming three-match series against India. The squad also features left-handed opener Parvez Hossain Emon and left-arm orthodox spinner Rakibul Hasan.

Off-spin all-rounder Mehidy Hasan Miraz has earned a recall to the Bangladesh men's T20I for the upcoming series against India, starting on October 6 in Gwalior.

The squad announced on Sunday (Sep 29) saw former skipper Shakib Al Hasan sit out as it all but confirmed his retirement. Chief selector Gazi Ashraf Hossain was grateful for Shakib and his services to the national team while announcing the squad.

Bangladesh have recalled Mehidy Hasan Miraz and Parvez Hossain Emon for their three-match T20I series against India. Shoriful Islam has also returned after recovering from a groin injury.

Rishabh Pant was part of India's squad that won the ICC T20 World Cup and is currently playing Tests. However considering the hectic schedule ahead he has been rested for the series against Bangladesh.
