WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — One person is dead and another has life-threatening injuries after a shooting happened early Saturday morning in Winston-Salem. Around 12:30 a.m. on Saturday, the Winston-Salem Police Department said they responded to a reported shooting in the 1000 block of East 15th Street.

One man is dead, and another is in critical condition after an overnight shooting. Winston-Salem police say they were called to an apartment on East 15th Street around 12:30 a.m. Saturday in regards to the shooting.

A husband was arrested on Dec. 26 for murdering his wife, according to the Winston-Salem Police Department (WSPD).On Dec. 20, police said they responded to a call for service in the 400 block of East Devonshire Street and when they arrived,

A toddler and two others were shot along Interstate 40 East Monday night while they were driving down I-40 eastbound near Buchanan Street. Around 10:45 p.m., Winston-Salem police responded to a local hospital shooting victims showed up to receive treatment.

Police have charged a man with murder after his wife was found dead in their home last week. On Dec. 20, Winston-Salem Police Department found Carla Osmara Zepeda-Martinez, 31, of Winston-Salem, dead inside of her apartment off of East Devonshire Street.
