A preliminary report into the Air India Flight 171 crash that killed 260 people, including 241 people on board, has been released. The London-bound aircraft, a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, crashed soon after taking off from the western Indian city of Ahmedabad on 12 June.

AHMEDABAD, India (AP) — Indian investigators on Friday recovered the digital flight data recorder, or the black box, of the Air India flight that fell from the sky and killed 241 people on board and several people on the ground, authorities said.
The black box data from the Air India Boeing 787 crash in Ahmedabad was retrieved using a kit from the U.S. National Transportation Safety Board, arriving 11 days post-crash.
