Apple has taken the wraps off of its next-generation operating system updates at its Worldwide Developers Conference today, including iOS 27, iPadOS 27, and macOS 27 Golden Gate. And while the long-awaited Siri AI update is the headliner, Apple also emphasized its efforts to optimize its software, improving its performance and reliability.
To do this, simply go to the Settings app, followed by the General option, and then tap on Software Update.
If you were never a fan of Liquid Glass, you can expect an update to that as well. A new slider will be available through iOS 27, allowing you to adjust the glassiness of elements to enhance readability. The new update will also make app launches and AirDrop transfers faster.
The next major iOS software will be available on devices as old as the iPhone 11, and it will land on your device this fall.
During its Worldwide Developers Conference, Apple is expected to announce a new version of Siri that could help it catch up in the AI race.
