This study evaluated 2 minimally invasive reconstruction techniques of lateral tibial plateau fractures, the conventional two-screw osteosynthesis vs. the novel three-screw jail technique.
A standardized osteotomy was performed to simulate fracture of the lateral tibial plateau. The holes for screw osteosynthesis as well as the additional jail screw were drilled before osteotomy.
