Colonial Pipeline's main U.S. gasoline artery is expected to remain shut through Friday as the company continues to search for the source of a suspected leak in Paulding County, Georgia, the company said in a statement on Wednesday.

Channel 2 Action News is learning more about the response to a leak in Paulding County that had led to a shutdown of the nation’s largest fuel pipeline.

The Colonial Pipeline has temporarily shut its main gasoline line – America’s largest fuel pipeline – because of leak in Georgia, the pipeline’s operator and local officials said.

Colonial Pipeline’s main lines suffered a gasoline leak in Paulding County on Tuesday — and now, officials estimate it will remain shut down for several more days.
