Officials reported the Lake Piru Recreation Area was being evacuated around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday. Roughly three people had been fishing on the lake and several others were staying at campsites.
A bush fire broke out Thursday near the Lake Piru Recreation Park in California's Ventura County. Videos surfaced showing smoke coming out of the Lake Piru area adjoining the Los Padres national Park.
