They lined up in outside the main entrance to the Krome North Detention center, calling for change. The protesters came after allegations surfaced of mistreatment of female detainees inside the facility. Krome is meant to house male detainees.

As the protest grew, hundreds of demonstrators filled the space near the detention center’s entrance while passing cars and trucks honked in support.
