Minecraft Java Edition raises RAM requirement to 16GB
Mojang has raised Minecraft Java Edition’s minimum RAM to 8GB and now recommends 16GB for smooth 1080p gameplay.
Just keeping up with the times, requirements are still light.
Last year, Minecraft: Bedrock Edition brought add-ons to the game, offering changes based on Java Edition mods. Unfortunately, players that installed these add-ons could not earn achievements.
