The chances that an asteroid hits Earth in 2032 are now at their highest since the object was first discovered, according to NASA.

YR4 has a small chance of hitting Earth in 2032, but as astronomers make more observations about its trajectory, the odds of a collision seem to be increasing

According to a NASA blog post from earlier this month, the asteroid is estimated to be approximately 130 feet to 300 feet in diameter. If it does collide with the planet, it could release energy equivalent to 7.7 megatonnes of TNT, or enough to destroy an entire city.
