COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football’s second spring practice Wednesday provided a brief glimpse at a defensive depth chart. During a session open to the media, the Buckeyes took part in a handful of mock 11-on-11 drills. Though no plays were run or passes were thrown, the lineups reaffirmed select depth chart projections.

Malik Hartford was the first-team strong safety, Austin Siereveld practiced at left tackle and Lincoln Kienholz and Julian Sayin split first-team QB reps to start spring practice.

Linebacker CJ Hicks made his debut at defensive line and was already on the second-team unit and took some first-team reps. The Dayton, Ohio, native is entering his fourth year at Ohio State and early observations indicate he’ll compete for reps right away at defensive end.
