Python isn't the only option for programming machine learning applications: there’s a growing group of developers who use JavaScript to run machine learning models.

Widely-used Python has now overtaken JavaScript as the programming language developers are most likely to have questions about on knowledge-sharing site Stack Overflow.

With non-compiled languages like Python or JavaScript, it can be quite time-consuming to locate bugs once you’ve realized that your code isn’t behaving as expected.

Or Python projects can invoke Java or JavaScript code. Smart developers have also created tools to automatically translate, link, and integrate the different languages with each other.

JetBrains asked developers to pick up to three languages they consider their primary programming language. In this context, JavaScript comes out on top (39%), followed Java (37%), and Python (31%).
