Wisconsin voters began casting ballots on Tuesday in the state Supreme Court election. Voters are deciding whether the court stays liberally-controlled or flips conservative. With a lot on the line, both candidates hit the now-record-setting campaign trail on Tuesday.

This year’s Supreme Court election has been awash in ads about how the candidates handled sentencing, but the court primarily focuses on interpreting the law.
