Xbox and Bethesda have announced a freshly-baked tie-in to celebrate the launch of Doom: The Dark Ages. The two publishers have a long history of working on product tie-ins that become available for a limited time to coincide with the launch of their biggest games, and Doom is no different.

Specifically, those who buy a certain pizza from Prince St. Pizza will receive a Ranger DOOM Slayer Skin and a free one-month trial of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate (for new subscribers only). After Doom Eternal took movement to frantic extremes, Doom: The Dark Ages is designed around having its slayers stand and fight. It’s very much boots on the ground, and it’s often up close and personal. One way id Software ensures you’re taking frequent blood baths is through Dark Ages’ renewed focus on crushing melee combat.

As posted to the Gaming Leaks and Rumours subreddit, some players have received their discs ahead of the 15th May street date, which means details are popping up all over the place now, including information about the plot, menus, combat, weapons, beastiary, and more.

The Dark Ages have reported that the game disc included doesn’t contain the entire game’s files. The FPS sequel will be available in both physical and digital formats, although the former will still require a hefty download before play is possible.
