Seven of the eight males arrested in relation to the alleged false imprisonment of a woman in Dublin has been charged.

A sitting of Dublin District Court heard claims on Saturday that a “makeshift blowtorch” and a hammer were used during the alleged assault and torture of the woman at Henrietta House, Dublin 7 on Thursday, and that threats of rape were made against her during the “prolonged” incident. The court heard the alleged incident relates to a drug debt.

A homeless woman is recovering from severe injuries after being subjected to a vicious attack while being falsely imprisoned in a flat by a large group of men. Gardaí have arrested eight males – including a juvenile – in relation to the traumatic ordeal.

SEVEN OF THE eight men arrested in connection with the alleged false imprisonment of a women at an apartment in Dublin have now been charged. The woman, in her 30s, was allegedly falsely imprisoned in the property in Bolton Street on Thursday evening.
