India will present all evidence before the United Nations Security Council, exposing Pakistan's link to the Pahalgam terror attack and The Resistance Front (TRF), an offshoot of Al-Qaeda.

Following this attack, India and Pakistan officially downgraded their ties, triggering a tit-for-tat visa cancellation, suspension of bilateral agreements and more. In the aftermath of the attack, several demolitions were carried out across Jammu and Kashmir targeting suspected active militants.

India planned a counterattack named Operation Sindoor. The operation started on May 7. It focused on destroying terrorist bases in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK). Indian officials said they only aimed at terror groups and did not target civilians or the Pakistani army.
