Gov. Mark Gordon announced late Thursday that he will let House Bill 172, “Repeal gun free zones and preemption amendments,” go into law without his signature, while calling it a “legislative power grab.

Many of Wyoming’s gun-free zones will be repealed July 1.  The change comes after public testimony in opposition to the repeal vastly outnumbered that of those supportive of the measure. The push against the measure included a die-in organized by University of Wyoming students in the Capitol Rotunda earlier this week.
