Microsoft just introduced Magma, a new AI model designed to help robots see, understand and act more intelligently. Unlike traditional artificial intelligence models, Magma processes different types of data all at once – an effort Microsoft is calling a big leap toward "agentic AI," or systems that can plan and execute tasks on a user's behalf.

The newly-announced Magma is a multimodal AI enabling agentic tasks ranging from UI navigation to robotics manipulation.

Microsoft has developed an artificial intelligence model of a videogame which can help generate visuals and actions, the company announced on Wednesday.

Microsoft views the Muse AI model more as a tool for game preservation and concept brainstorming than a way to replace human-made video games.

Microsoft’s Muse is built on the World and Human Action Model (WHAM) and is intended to enhance developers’ creativity.
