The United Nations, human rights groups and some scholars have condemned the idea of removing people from their homeland in the Gaza Strip.

The Israeli military says five soldiers have been killed in an attack in northern Gaza. Health officials in the Palestinian territory say Israeli strikes killed 51 people.

A number of civilians were injured following an Israeli strike on Abu Helo School, which shelters displaced Palestinians in the Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza, causing panic among the displaced families, a medical source at Al-Awda Hospital said.
