The real Joan Hannington has revealed her real thoughts when it comes to being portrayed by Sophie Turner in the new true-crime ITV series. The vibrant series set in the 80s is inspired by the real-life Joan Hannington, the author of I am What I am: The True Story of Britain’s Most Notorious Jewel Thief.

The highly anticipated Joan starring Sophie Turner lands will premiere on free-to-air channel ITV1 on Sunday, September 29 at 9pm BST. New episodes will then air on Mondays and Sundays at the same time for its six episode run. Alternatively, all six episodes will be made available on ITVX on the morning of September 29.

Despite her talent for stealing wigs, diamonds, and faking accents, 'Joan' is as much a story about a mother's dedication to her child (played by Mia Millichamp-Long) as it is a heist caper, reports 'Variety'.
