Investigators have ruled out mechanical failure and driver impairment as causes of the accident.

Multiple people have died after a tour bus crashed on the New York State Thruway in western New York, according to New York State Police.

The accident took place on Interstate 90, which forms part of the New York Thruway, in Pembroke, New York, about 30 miles east of Buffalo.
