Vikings defensive backs coach and pass game coordinator Daronte Jones has signed on to be Washington’s defensive coordinator in 2026, the Commanders announced Jan. 30. “Washington got a good one,” Vikings linebacker Blake Cashman wrote on X on Jan.

The Jets are hiring Brian Duker as their defensive coordinator, according to NFL Network. Duker was most recently with the Dolphins as their pass game coordinator. Duker spent 2021 to 2023 with Jets head coach Aaron Glenn while working on his defensive staff with the Lions.
