Earlier this year, we reported on Microsoft expanding its compression support in Windows 11 to include native RAR, 7-Zip, and other file formats that aren't your basic ZIP files.

7-Zip is a free, open-source file archiver with a high compression ratio. This software can be used on any computer, including the ones in a commercial organization.

Occasionally, you'll need to open several compressed files from one ZIP folder. While Windows does a fine job extracting, there are better tools to unzip.

You can both zip and unzip files in Windows 10 by highlighting the files you want and right-clicking them.
