The Bruins may have one more deal up their sleeve ahead of the NHL trade deadline that'd fetch a better return than the Trent Frederic swap.
The trade deadline has passed, and the Boston Bruins were quite busy this year. But this season, unlike the past seasons in Don Sweeney’s tenure, they were sellers, not buyers.
With the acquisition of Trent Frederic and the Evander Kane situation still hanging over their heads, it's probably safe to assume the Edmonton Oilers' forward corps is set.
"The human side of me was crushed," Jeremy Swayman said as the Bruins tried to pick up the post-deadline pieces.
Even though the trade was expected, removing a player instead of adding one sent a ripple through the Bruins room. It showed on the ice.
The Boston Bruins stunned the NHL when they traded their captain Brad Marchand to the Florida Panthers right before the 2025 trade deadline struck. That wasn't the only big deal they made, though, as they followed that up by sending defenseman Brandon Carlo to the Toronto Maple Leafs.
If the NHL trade deadline is developing into a seller's market, the Bruins must take advantage of this current climate before Friday.
