Ahead of their game against the Boston Celtics, the Cleveland Cavaliers have received a significant boost with star guard Darius Garland declared fit to play. His return is crucial as the Cavaliers enjoy a strong season with a 48-10 record.
During an interview with NBA reporter Tomer Azarly of ClutchPoints, Darius Garland said it took “some grown man conversations” for him and Donovan Mitchell to play together.  Garland and Mitchell are one of the best duos in the NBA.
Garland became the subject of trade rumors in the offseason after a broken jaw and death of his grandmother derailed his season.
Donovan Mitchell scored 41 points and the visiting Cleveland Cavaliers rallied past the Boston Celtics Friday night in an Eastern Conference showdown.
The league-leading Cavs funneled out of Boston with a prevailing thought of returning in about three months — for a fated showdown in the conference finals.
Cleveland will try to keep its six-game road win streak alive when the Cavaliers play Boston. The teams square off Friday for the first time this season.
