Indiana Pacers guard Bennedict Mathurin was suspended for one game without pay by the NBA on Wednesday night for inappropriate contact and verbal abuse of a game official.
During the Pacers loss to Cleveland on Tuesday night Benedict Mathurin was ejected after he bumped a referee who gave him a technical foul.

The incident occurred late in the fourth quarter when Mathurin made a layup and the Cavaliers quickly took off the other way. Mathurin sprinted back in transition and was called for a foul on Evan Mobley. It appeared to be an obvious foul, but Mathurin thought otherwise. He immediately put his arms out in the air and started to complain to Sago.
Backcourt mates Donovan Mitchell and Darius Garland combined for 59 points and Mobley notched a 22-13 double-double. Pascal Siakam countered with a productive showing– 23 points, seven boards and four assists– but the Pacers could not make a full recovery in this one.
