New Tottenham signing Mathys Tel has described his decision to leave Bayern Munich for Ange Postecoglou's side as the "best option" for his career, despite previously declining a move to the North London club.

Postecoglou was asked about the France Under-21 international’s long-term future before Tottenham’s Carabao Cup semi-final second leg against Liverpool on Thursday. “He’ll be a Tottenham player,” Postecoglou said.
