Microsoft has been working on a new Outlook for Windows 11 for quite some time. It was officially announced in May 2022 and then rolled out to Office Insiders in the Beta Channel.

“Beginning in 2024, new Windows 11 devices will be shipped with the new Outlook for Windows as the default mailbox application free for all to use,” the company writes.
