President Trump signed an executive order on Tuesday withdrawing the U.S. from the UN Human Rights Council and stopping funding to the UN Relief and Works Agency, which provides services to Palestinian refugees in the Middle East.

President Donald Trump has announced that the United States will withdraw from the U.N.’s top human rights body and will not resume funding for the U.N. agency helping Palestinian refugees.

The U.N. Human Rights Council will hold a special meeting to discuss the situation in the eastern Congo city of Goma after it was seized by Rwanda-backed M23 rebels, a U.N. statement said.
