As fire tears though the Los Angeles area, celebrities are among the many people impacted. Billy Crystal, Mandy Moore and Jeff Bridges join the long list of people who have lost their homes.

For large homes like the ones found in the fire-ravaged Pacific Palisades, insured contents typically run at about 25 percent of the home amount, so a $10 million home has an estimated $2.5 million in contents, a $40 million home has an estimated $10 million in contents and so on.

Jamie Lee Curtis, James Woods, Mandy Moore, Mark Hamill and Maria Shriver were among those who publicly described being forced to evacuate as out-of-control fires swept across some of the most lavish real estate in the world.
