Chicago police said just before 3 a.m., officers responded to a large gathering, where they found multiple people wounded by gunfire.

CHICAGO - Six people were shot, including one fatally, on the city’s West Side early Sunday morning. The shooting happened in the 100 block of N. La Crosse Avenue in the Austin neighborhood, according to the Chicago Police Department. Officers responded around 2:48 a.m. to a large gathering where multiple people had been shot.
