A couple hundred people assembled in downtown Grand Rapids on a sunny and pleasant Thursday, July 17, evening for the “Good Trouble Lives On” protest against President Trump. The demonstration was part of a nationwide day of protest challenging the Trump administration and named for the late Congressman John Lewis,

People protested in cities across the country, including Grand Rapids, Thursday as part of the “Good Trouble Lives On” movement.

CARO, MICHIGAN (WJRT) - Good Trouble rallies are being held across the country, including in Mid-Michigan, to protest the Trump administration on various issues. Around 30 people gathered outside the Tuscola County Courthouse in Caro, holding signs and engaging with supporters.

The Concert of Colors, the African World Festival, the Ann Arbor Art Fair and more. Plus, a community picnic for "good trouble."

Good Trouble Lives On protests will be held on July 17 in all major US cities, including Los Angeles, NYC, Detroit, Chicago, Portland, Philadelphia, and Seattle

According to the ACLU, the rights of protesters and organizers are strongest in "traditional public forums," such as streets, sidewalks and parks. People have the right to speak out in front of government buildings as long as they are not blocking access or interfering with operations.

MANITOWOC – On the anniversary of the 2020 death of U.S. Rep. John Lewis of Georgia, a Good Trouble Rally and candlelight vigil will begin at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 17, at Shipbuilders Park, 51 Maritime Drive, in Manitowoc.
